Rohit Sharma, the captain of India, wisely avoided a query that would have generated a debate within the cricketing community. The 2019 World Cup final, in which England defeated New Zealand by a boundary margin, drew controversy. The Hitman was questioned about his thoughts on the situation. Sharma, though, said he was not in the position to respond and declined to comment.

A draw resulted in the contest between England and New Zealand, which necessitated a Super Over. Even the Super Over came to a draw. Because England outscored New Zealand in terms of boundaries, the ICC declared them the world champions.

When questioned about the contentious outcome of that game, Rohit responded with laughter:

“Ye mera kaam nahi hai sir. Ghoshit karna ye mera kaam nahi hai.” (It is not my job sir. To declare something about that match is not my job.)
