Team India captain Rohit Sharma posed for photos with fans and photographers at the airport upon his return to Mumbai from the Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant pre-wedding event in Jamnagar, Gujarat.

Though plainly fatigued, Rohit Sharma posed for shots even as someone, most likely a lensman, apologized to him for cheekily remarking. Rohit Sharma will become irritated.

A party was going on in Jamnagar. It was the Ambani’s ce­lebration which stretched for thre­e days. A lot of people famous in cricke­t came there. Rohit, who use­d to lead Mumbai Indians, was there, so was Sachin Te­ndulkar, MS Dhoni, Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, and Zaheer Khan. International stars we­re there too. Dwayne­ Bravo, Trent Boult, Kieron Pollard, and Nicholas Pooran were­ the ones. They all we­re having fun at the big Ambani party.

On Tuesday, March 5, famous Bollywood photographer Viral Bhayani uploaded a video of Rohit arriving in Mumbai following the end of the Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant pre-wedding party. Even while the Indian captain answered demands for photos at the airport, someone was heard saying:

“Ab Rohit bhai ko gussa aa jayega, sorry bhai.”

Rohit Sharma attended the Ambani event in Jamnagar with his wife Ritika Sajdeh, and photos of the couple during the event went popular on social media.

India, led by Rohit, clinche­d a victory over England in Ranchi’s fourth Test. They triumphe­d by five wickets, securing a 3-1 le­ad in the five-match serie­s. Rohit, a past Indian teammate­, was commended by Pravee­n Kumar. He said this in a recent Time­s of India interview:

“Rohit is a fantastic skipper. He is leading the side really well. Sourav Ganguly was the one who built the team. He created the team with a mix of youngsters and experienced players.

“Rohit is ‘yaaro ka yaar’ (friend of friends). He scolds the players when they make mistakes and hugs them too. He guides them and gives them all liberty on the field.”

Apart from excelling as captain, Rohit has scored 297 runs in eight innings with an average of 37.12 throughout the series.
