After his unfortunate car accident, Rishabh Pant publicly shared his new outlook on life. He vowed to return to entertaining his fans and to continue living with a new appreciation for life. Despite progressing in his recovery, the youngster is expected to sit out most of 2023 due to a severe knee injury that saw three of his key ligaments tear. Former India captain Sourav Ganguly, currently part of the management team for the Delhi Capitals, believes it might take two years for the left-hander to make a complete comeback. Pant shared with IANS that, in the chaos of daily life, we often neglect the small things. The 25-year-old opened up about how his accident has encouraged him to appreciate life truly and all it has to offer.

“It is hard to say if everything around me has become more positive or negative. However, I’ve gained a fresh perspective on how I view my life now. Something I value today is enjoying my life to the fullest, and this includes the smallest of things that we ignore in our daily routine.”

“Everyone today is hustling and working extremely hard to achieve something special, but we’ve forgotten to enjoy the little things which give us joy every day.”

He further continued: “My biggest realisation and message would be that feeling blessed every day is also a blessing, and that’s the mindset I’ve adopted since my setback and being able to enjoy every moment which comes my way is a takeaway I have for myself.”

Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals have yet to announce a replacement for Rishabh Pant as their captain. With opening batsman David Warner having an outstanding track record of captaining the SunRisers Hyderabad to the title in 2016, he is a likely candidate to lead the team.
