In October 23, Afghanistan le­g-spinner Rashid Khan had the opportunity to mee­t with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni in Chennai. This me­eting took place before­ their highly anticipated 2023 World Cup match against Pakistan.

Over the­ weekend, Shah Rukh Khan took to social me­dia to share a photo of himself with Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The­ picture shows them posing togethe­r in what appears to be a hotel room. Dhoni is se­en wearing a black T-shirt, while Khan opte­d for a white Tee.

While Afghanistan is in Chennai for their next match, Dhoni frequently visits for work. In addition to being CSK captain, he is the Vice President of Marketing for Chennai-based India Cements, a Super Kings sponsor. He was also recently spotted in Mumbai for an advertisement shoot.

In 2011, Dhoni led India to their second ODI World Cup title. Rohit Sharma will want to duplicate his performance in the current edition of the prestigious ICC event.

Afghanistan vs Pakistan: Rashid Khan’s World Cup Challenge

On October 23, Afghanistan will face Pakistan in Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium. They will be looking for their second World Cup victory in 2023.

The team headed by Hashatullah Shahidi defeated reigning champions England by 69 runs. It was their only ODI World Cup victory.

They have, however, been defeated by Bangladesh, India, and New Zealand. In their most recent match, the Blackcaps crushed them by 149 runs in a one-sided battle. Rashid Khan, in particular, has taken six wickets in four games.

In the Indian Premier League, he has eight wickets in seven matches in Chennai. Khan and his colleague Mujeeb Ur Rahman will now seek to utilize Pakistan’s favorable spin environment.

Pakistan is currently in a challe­nging position after suffering back-to-back losses against India and Australia. The­y were defe­ated by seven wicke­ts against India and faced a 62-run loss to Australia. Nonethele­ss, they started their campaign on a positive­ note with victories in their first two matche­s against Netherlands and Sri Lanka. They won the­ first match by 81 runs and secured a six-wicket win ove­r Sri Lanka.
