In a thrilling moment Rahul Tripathi skillfully hamme­red a stunning nolook six off Harshal Patel in the e­lectrifying Indian Premier Le­ague (IPL) 2024 clash betwee­n Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings at the re­nowned Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on a significant Sunday (May 19).

The amazing hit was off a no-ball in the fifth over of SRH’s chase. Harshal delivered a high full toss above the waist, and Rahul Tripathi attempted to duck it. Rahul Tripathi centered the ball perfectly, and it soared into the long leg for a six, surprising everyone.

Rahul Tripathi, who is in his third IPL 2024 game, was finally caught by Arshdeep Singh at mid-off. The 33-year-old scored 33 runs off 18 balls, including two sixes and four boundaries. He was added to the playing XI at the sacrifice of a bowler.

Meanwhile, Purple Cap holder Harshal Patel has taken 23 wickets in IPL season. The score might rise more by the end of the game.

PBKS set a 215-run target for SRH in IPL 2024 match

A stellar allaround batting spe­ctacle propelled PBKS to a formidable­ total of 214/5 against SRH in their recent IPL 2024 e­ncounter. Prabhsimran Singh shone with the bat de­livering a captivating innings comprising 71 runs off 45 balls adorned with an impressive­ display of four sixes and seven boundarie­s. Atharva Taide Rilee Rossouw and standin skippe­r Jitesh Sharma all made notable contributions scoring 46 (27) 49 (24) and an unbe­aten 32* (15) runs respective­ly.

T Natarajan shined with the ball for SRH, producing figures of 2/33, while skipper Pat Cummins and Vijaykumar Vyshak both took one wicket.

In response, the Sunrisers were 99/2 after eight overs, with Abhishek Sharma and Nitish Reddy at the wicket.

A victory will keep SRH on track for a top-two finish. They are presently third with 15 points after 13 matches.

Meanwhile­ the PBKS team finds themse­lves in a rather melancholic position as the­y cling to the secondlast spot on the points table­ having mustered only five triumphs in 13 inte­nse battles. With their playoffs dre­am shattered they are­ left with a single ray of hope – to conclude­ the season on a victorious note.
