3-match ODI series India- Sri Lanka, 3-match ODI series India- NZ, and a 3-match t-20 series India-NZ preparations have begun, and 4 test match India-Australia squad is also being prepared. If there is one particular Player who doesn’t play in this series, then they will be kicked out of the team. And BCCI has given a strong statement against this.

KL Rahul is the Player who has been given a strict warning by BCCI to further play in the team. He is one of the most prominent players in the Team India lineup and is a regular part of the things or schemes of BCCI. Wasim Jaffer has warned Rahul that if he doesn’t start giving his best, then BCCI will show him the door. Therefore, there is a danger sign looming over KL Rahul.

In the 2nd ODI against Sri Lanka, KL Rahul played 64 runs; however, his consistency is the central issue that is being picked up. In the match against Bangladesh, 3 match ODI series, KL Rahul played his best game in the first one, but in the second and third ones, he fell slacking and wasn’t able to make much difference. His stint against the two-day test match against Bangladesh also didn’t work out.

When the new squad was announced for the three-day ODI match series against Sri Lanka in the new year, Hardik Pandya was chosen as the vice-captain despite KL Rahul being in the team. This move is an indication by BCCI that KL Rahul is being sidelined. And this is precisely what is being highlighted by Wasim Jaffer.

Wasim Jaffer’s statement about KL Rahul is, “When the batting does not help, you are going to catch the eye. Rahul has not been in great form recently, so every inning of his will be scrutinized since Suryakumar Yadav is sitting out, and Rishabh Pant is out; Sanju Samson is on his back. Understandably, every inning is going to be very critical for him.”

Wasim Jaffer believes that BCCI has quite a lot of options available. One of the foremost examples of the same can is Shikar Dhawan. Dhawan is also one of the most prominent players with ample choices and opportunities to play in ODI matches and series, even though BCCI is trying to keep him away from T20. It is also said that only Dhawan can lead India as a captain in the T20 world cup. However, as a few matches didn’t go well, BCCI started ignoring him.
