SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) starter Travis Head was dismissed for the second time in the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL). The left-handed batsman was outpaced by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) bowler Mitchell Starc in the current Qualifier 1 match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Tuesday, May 21.
Travis Head advanced to the playoffs with a golden duck at the hands of left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh in SRH’s victory over the Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Hyderabad. The opening batter was also despatched in a same way, giving KKR their first breakthrough of the match.
After trying a drive off the opening ball, Head tried to counter Starc’s outswinger but hit thin air. The ball flew through the big gap and slammed the stumps straight up, making a mess of things.

SRH Faces Setback as Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head Both Dismissed in Qualifier 1
SRH has relied on its explosive opening combo throughout the tournament, but they are in serious difficulty after both of them were removed within the first few of overs.
Despite losing his wicket in the following over against Vaibhav Arora, Abhishek Sharma attempted to continue. Off the last delivery of the second over, the left-handed batter attempted to go over the infield on the offside, but Vaibhav Arora spun it away from him around the wicket.
However, the batter was unable to gain the necessary elevation and was unable to pass a leaping Andre Russell at the edge of the circle. As of writing, SRH stand at 13/2 after two overs, with Nitish Reddy and Rahul Tripathi at the crease.
