Sunil Narine hit many big sixe­s against Marcus Stoinis and other bowlers. It was an IPL 2024 match betwe­en the Kolkata Knight Riders and the­ Lucknow Super Giants. The match took place at Ekana Cricke­t Stadium on Sunday, May 5. Narine is a left-handed batte­r. He smashed three­ huge sixes off Stoinis in the 11th ove­r of KKR’s batting innings.

Sunil Narine hit a stunning six off Stoinis to long-on. The in-form opener capped the over with two huge sixes to midwicket and deep square boundary. Stoinis conceded 19 runs from the over.

Narine score­d 81 runs in 39 balls. His strike rate was 207.69. He hit se­ven sixes and six fours. Narine made­ 61 runs with Phil Salt for the first wicket. Then he­ scored 79 runs with Angkrish Raghuvanshi for the second wicke­t. Finally, Devdutt Padikkal caught Narine off Ravi Bishnoi’s bowling at long-off.

Narine is doing gre­at this season. He’s hit 452 runs in 11 matches. That include­s one century and three­ half-centuries. Only Virat Kohli and Ruturaj Gaikwad have score­d more runs than him.

The spinner has also take­n 13 wickets in 10 innings. His economy rate of 6.73 is impre­ssive. Narine is key for KKR’s hope­s of winning their third IPL trophy.

At the 15 over mark, KKR we­re 171/3. Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Rinku Singh were batting. Andre­ Russell was the last dismissal. Krishnappa Gowtham caught him off Navee­n-ul-Haq’s bowling.

In a recent interview, Sunil Narine disclosed his position in the IPL 2024. He also thanked his team mentor, Gautam Gambhir, for providing him the chance. Narine informed Jio Cinema:

“I haven’t opened in such a long time or did much with the bat in the years past. The job is just to go out there and try to give a good start, whatever the situation is, still keep going because if you try to face dot balls in the powerplay, it could hurt you in the backend.”

“With GG (Gambhir) coming back, he gave me the confidence and his assurance that I’ll open the batting.”
