The current age of James Anderson is 41 years and 187 days. Before him, just one pacer who was over 40 played a Test on Indian soil. The person to do this was the former Indian player, Lala Amarnath. Lala did it against Pakistan in 1952.
Amarnath was 41 years and 92 days old when he played the Test against Pakistan. He maintained the record for 72 years, but in 2024, James Anderson became the oldest bowler to play a Test in India.
