On January 23 2023, the players of the Indian Cricket Team, as well as the coaching staff, took part in the “Bhasma Aarti” of Lord Shiva at the Mahakaleswar temple in Ujjain. This ceremony took place in the early hours of the morning.

The star batsman for India, Suryakumar Yadav, said they prayed to Mahakal for his teammate Rishabh Pant to recover from his injury rapidly. He also mentioned that the staff and the rest of the squad are praying for Rishabh Pant to recover from his injury rapidly. The Indian cricket squad will benefit massively from his return to action. India has already won the series they are playing against New Zealand and is looking forward to playing them in the final match.

The early hours of December 30 saw the tragic car accident in which Pant was involved. His vehicle had struck a divider on the Delhi-Dehradun highway. The wicketkeeper was injured in several parts, including his forehead, right knee, right wrist, right ankle, right toe, and back. Brain and spinal cord scans showed no damage. Due to ligament tears, Pant had to be transferred from Dehradun to Mumbai for surgery and subsequent procedures. Despite having sustained several critical injuries due to the accident, Rishabh Pant is making significant progress with his recovery.

Pant has lately used Twitter to provide followers with an update on his progress in recovering from surgery. The Indian wicketkeeper thanked everyone for their good wishes and reported that his surgery had been successful. He also expressed thanks for the outpouring of support.

On Tuesday, the series-deciding third and the final one-day international match will be at Indore’s Holkar Stadium. India and New Zealand will face off in this match.

India won the second one-day international against New Zealand by eight wickets on Saturday at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur. This victory ensured that India would win their sixth consecutive ODI series.
