Harmanpreet Kaur is a legendary T20 player, having played 151 T20Is since her debut in 2009, more than any other player. Not only that, but her 3,058 runs at an average of 28.05 and a strike rate of 106.31 make her one of the most successful batters in the shortest format of cricket. She has 10 half-centuries and a century to her name – an impressive feat all around! With these remarkable achievements, it’s no surprise that Harmanpreet is considered an all-time great. Let’s look at what other milestones she can achieve to cement her place as a T20 legend.

#1 Harmanpreet can become the highest run scorer in T20Is

Suzie Bates has earned her place as the highest run-scorer in Women’s T20Is with an impressive 3,820 runs. In contrast, Meg Lanning (3,405) and Stefanie Taylor (3,166) come close to matching her tally. Kaur, the India captain, occupies the fourth spot on the list with 3,058 runs. Her impressive fitness levels and consistency set her on a great path to potentially break Suzie Bates’ record and further cement her status as a game legend.

#2 She can score the fastest century

Kaur holds the current record for the fastest century scored by an Indian batter in T20 internationals, having completed a 49-ball ton against New Zealand during the 2018 T20 World Cup. While Deandra Dottin of the West Indies holds the record with a 38-ball century against South Africa in 2010. However, Kaur had already displayed her immense capabilities when she scored 171* off just 115 balls at the 2017 ICC ODI Women’s World Cup, a feat that included 7 sixes. Showing that same form in a T20I, a hundred would undoubtedly be within reach for the talented batter.
