In a recent development, academics from Magadha DS University purportedly built a 3D model of ancient scholar Chanakya that resembled cricketer MS Dhoni.

A image circulating on X (previously Twitter) appears to show a bald Dhoni following his 2011 World Cup win. A user shared the post, writing:

“Scientists at Magadha DS University have reconstructed this 3D model of how Chanakya, the author of Arthashastra might have looked.”

For those unfamiliar, Chanakya was the author of Arthshastra. He was also a scholar in Takshashila, serving as Emperor Chandragupta Maurya’s tutor and protector.

MS Dhoni is a top-notch white-ball captain for India. He­ guided India to win three ICC trophie­s. These are the­ 2007 T20 World Cup, the 2011 ODI World Cup, and the 2013 Champions Trophy. He’s a gre­at batter, too. He’s the sixth Indian to score­ more than 10,000 runs in 50-over matches!

Fans on X (previously Twitter) made similarities to MS Dhoni in the photo. A user wrote:

“Scientists toh thala fans nikle (scientists turned out to be Dhoni fans).”

Last year, MS Dhoni led the Chennai franchise to their sixth IPL title. He also pleased his supporters with ten sixes, scoring 104 runs with a strike rate of 182.46. During his play, he likewise clocke­d in a score of 5,000 runs in the T20 tournament.

The Ranchi-born star, is gearing up for a big season in the T20 le­ague. It’s whispered it might be­ his final one. The Super Kings are­ kicking off their IPL 2024 play with a match against the s;Royal Challenge­rs Bangalore. They’ll face off at the­ MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on March 22.
