Faf du Plessis, the skipper of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), has shared the dressing room with star batter Virat Kohli for a couple of seasons and has faced him in international cricket before. The time they’ve spent together has inevitably contributed to their affinity.
While both Du Plessis and Kohli are among the fittest players one can find, the South African noted that the two enjoy their meals. They also exchange fashion pointers, with Du Plessis giving light on Kohli’s fondness for watches.

Speaking to Star Sports, Faf du Plessis said that their individual families have now been a topic of discussion with Virat Kohli:
“The way we dress the way we wear our style of clothes, we will send each other pictures of outfits. He has been a terrible influence on me when it comes to watches. But he has got real passion for watches. But with so many things, obviously now it’s family.”

The connection between Kohli and Du Plessis is also evident on the field, as they have had numerous spectacular partnerships at the top of the order for RCB.
Faf du Plessis on RCB’s new-look bowling attack
RCB’s bowling arsenal has seen substantial changes since last year, with the departure of top spinner Wanindu Hasaranga and seasoned pacer Harshal Patel.
Faf du Plessis attempted to explain why the Royal Challengers released these players while also discussing newcomers like as Yash Dayal and Alzarri Joseph. He stated:
“It’s hard losing those two guys (Hasaranga and Harshal). They were the pillars of RCB. So maybe the ground like Chinnaswamy is not the best for Harshal Patel who is brilliant on grounds where you have bigger boundaries and where slower balls are effective.”

South Africa’s captain seems happy with his bowling choices. But, the Chinnaswamy pitch has caused issues for many. It’ll be worth watching if India adapt well to it.
