Chetan Sharma sent his resignation to the BCCI secretary, who has accepted it. It is observed that Chetan Sharma sent his resignation after his sting operation went viral, where he made some claims about the recent controversies.

On Tuesday (February 14), Zee News shared a video of a sting operation made on Chetan Sharma in which he made some unexpected claims. Initially, he made some claims regarding the controversy, including Virat Kohli and Sourav Ganguly, where he claimed that Ex- India captain Virat Kohli wanted revenge on the former BCCI President Sourav Ganguly as Virat believed that Sourav had a hand in removing him from the captaincy. And he also referred the Kohli’s controversial press conference, where he called him a “Liar” for Virat’s statements in which Virat stated that neither Ganguly nor BCCI had communicated with him about reconsidering his opinion on leaving captaincy.

Gradually, he also claimed that some players also take injections which cannot be caught by the agency to be fit before games. He mentioned:

“The players are not fit, but they will take injections to play. They are always ready to play, even at 80% fitness. That’s where the problem is they want to play, but the medical team does not clear them. The players always want to play and never refuse to play.”

“Bumrah could not bend, so what can he do? Such major injuries happen. Even at 80 per cent (fitness), they are so clever that they quietly sneak into a corner and take injections and say, “Sir, we are fit”.”

Lastly, he claimed that Rohit Sharma would no longer be a part of the T20I setup and Hardik Pandya could be the captain in the long run.

Chetan Sharma is a former India all-rounder player. He’s often remembered as the bowler who was hit for a last-ball six by Javed Miandad in the 1986 Australia- Asia cup in Sharjah.
