The Australian bowling trio of Mitchell Starc, Mitchell Marsh, and Travis Head dismantled India’s batting lineup. A sensational catch snared by Steven Smith at slip caused Pandya’s departure, contributing significantly to India’s eventual collapse. Pandya has bailed his team out recently, but he was unable to save them this time.

Steve Smith pulled off a fantastic one-handed catch at leg slip to eliminate Cheteshwar Pujara in the recently concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy series. Nathan Lyon bowled a delivery on the leg stump line, which Pujara tried to flick toward the square leg region, but failed to time accurately. The ball went to leg slip, where Smith took a great grab to send the Indian batsman back to the pavilion.
