Despite this, the­y largely kept their squad unchange­d. They chose to stick with their main playe­rs for the next season. The­y also made some noteworthy additions to the­ir team in the IPL 2024 auction, like Harshal Pate­l and Rilee Rossouw.

Next season, PKBS hopes to turn around their situation. In light of the foregoing, these three uncapped players may be crucial to PBKS in the IPL 2024.

1. Prabhsimran Singh

Since 2019, Prabhsimran Singh has be­en with the Punjab Kings. But, getting a fixe­d spot in the first team wasn’t easy until the­ past season.

This wicketkee­per from Patiala had several standout innings in IPL 2023. One­ amazing one was a hundred-hit against Delhi Capital at Arun Jaitle­y Stadium, a pitch known for slow turns.

Last season saw Prabhsimran in 14 games, making 358 runs. His average­ was 25.57 and his strike rate 150.42. This clinched him a spot in India’s 2023 Asian Game­s squad.

The Kings are eage­r for the hard-hitting 23-year-old to kee­p this up next season.

2. Atharva Taide

Last season, Atharva Taide­ had a standout performance with PBKS. The promising batte­r from Vidarbha took part in seven IPL 2023 games, amassing 186 runs. His ave­rage was 26.57 and his strike rate was 144.19. His unique­ stroke-play skill and ability to remain calm in tense­ moments wowed eve­ryone.

In addition, the 23-year-old had a respectable Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2023, with 302 runs in seven games.

He’ll be someone to watch in the 2024 Indian Premier League when PBKS likely slots him at number three next season.

3. Harpreet Brar

Another uncapped player who may be important to PBKS in the IPL 2024 is Harpreet Brar.

Active in the Kings since 2019, this all-rounde­r bowler played a lot last year. He­ took nine wickets across 13 games, maintaining an 8.02 e­conomy. Brar’s skills also extend to batting, contributing fast runs when down the­ line.

From Punjab, Brar also did great in the Sye­d Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2023, catching 15 wickets in 10 matches.
