Ben Stokes, the current captain of the England Test cricket team, was at the centre of a brawl in a nightclub in Bristol on September 25, 2017. A news channel reported that Stokes had knocked out Ryan Hale and Ryan Ali. Video footage depicted Stokes as the main perpetrator of the altercation, leading to his arrest by the police.

Prithvi Shaw has been the talk of the town after a heated altercation. The renowned Indian cricketer went out to a club in Mumbai with his companions. Allegedly, some admirers asked him for a photograph, to which he said yes. Nevertheless, they asked for more pictures which caused Shaw to deny them. A scuffle soon erupted between Shaw, his friends and the people that wanted the pictures.

Pakistan’s Hasan Ali was highly criticized on the web when he dropped a catch in the 2021 T20 World Cup semi-final contest with Australia. Spectators at the various cricket grounds where the pacer competed were also harsh towards him. There was an outburst from Ali at one of the fans during a nearby match which was captured on camera and spread online in December of last year.

On July 21st, 2017, a newspaper reported that former Indian cricketer Parvinder Awana was assaulted by some thugs who incorrectly assumed he was part of a different gang. He had been visiting the local market in his SUV when he tried to break up a clash between two separate groups.
