The skipper seemed to forget he had the penny in his pocket and instead asked match referee David Boon for one.
The moment of misunderstanding was funny, especially when David Boon reminded Rohit Sharma that he had the coin after he requested for it. Even opposing captain Babar Azam couldn’t stop laughing, while Ravi Shastri was left smiling.
After the puzzlement was completed, Rohit Sharma grabbed the coin and handed it to everyone before tossing it in the air. The coin fell in favor of Babar Azam, who chose to bowl first despite the cloudy weather.
