He trapped Sam Curran (2 off 4) with the first ball of the over. The left-handed batter chose the wrong pitch and was locked in his crease when the ball spun back in and whacked him squarely on his pads. He requested a review after the on-field umpire ruled him out, but the DRS returned three reds, ending his brief tenure at the crease. Look at the dismissal right here:

Following Curran’s dismissal, England’s total was at 49-5 after 8.1 overs. The all-rounder scored only two runs off four deliveries.

Kuldeep Yadav has been an excellent contribution to the team’s cause since joining the playing XI in the Super 8 round. He has seven wickets in three tournament matches and is also putting on a remarkable performance in the semi-finals.

The left-arm spinner was also key for Team India’s subsequent breakthroughs. Another nail was hammered into England’s coffin when the left-arm spinner castled Harry Brook in his third over.

Harry Brook had demonstrated some intent, racing away to 25 runs in no time. He was arguably England’s last hope of reaching the enormous total. The teenage hitter had successfully executed a reverse sweep for a boundary off the third ball of the 11th over.

However, when he attempted the identical hit with the next ball, his stumps were smashed. Kuldeep caught Chris Jordan leg before wicket in the 13th over, reducing England to 73-7 and finishing with 3-19.
