Delhi’s Kuldeep Yadav grabbed two quick wickets, dismissing two star batters when the Capitals took on Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2024. The Kanpur-born bowler removed Marcus Stoinis and Nicholas Pooran in back-to-back deliveries, putting Delhi firmly in control.
The double strike came in the 8th over. Stoinis slogged across the line, but only managed a leading edge that Ishant Sharma easily caught at backward point. Pooran followed next ball, as Kuldeep Yadav ‘s delivery found the outside edge on its way to the keeper.

Pooran, who stepped in next, went for the turn, but the ball got through and smashed the stumps. After the two wickets, the score was 66-4, down from 57-1 in the powerplay. Pooran’s dismissal also damaged the stumps, which had to be rebuilt.
Earlier, KL Rahul won the toss. He chose to bat first. One change: Arshad Khan replaced injured Mayank Yadav (abdomen pain). The Super Giants won three straight against Punjab Kings, RCB, Gujarat Titans.
Kuldeep Yadav missed last 3 matches for Delhi Capitals
Kuldeep Yadav didn’t play the last few matches for the Capitals. He took some rest due to a minor issue. This was because the T20 World Cup 2024 is coming soon in June. But now, Kuldeep is back and ready to make an impact. The Capitals also brought in Shai Hope, Mukesh Kumar, and Jake Fraser-McGurk for his first IPL match.
The Capitals are struggling after losing four out of five matches so far. They started with losses against Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals. Then they beat Chennai Super Kings. But after that, they lost to Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians. The team led by Rishabh Pant needs to turn things around quickly.
