Sehwag also revealed his hope to see the Indian team win the 2024 T20 World Cup trophy for head coach Rahul Dravid. He added:

“We played the 2011 World Cup for Sachin Tendulkar. So, this T20 World Cup can be for Rahul Dravid. At least as a coach he gets to win the World Cup and get the badge of being a World Cup winner, which he didn’t get as a player.”

Virender Sehwag praised Head’s fighting knock, saying:

“It was an amazing innings. It was not just me, but the whole country’s heartbeat got faster when he was at the crease. One thing of his knock was the simple fashion in which he batted, whether it was in the powerplay or post that. He was easily hitting fours and sixes and was cruising. He didn’t get enough support from Marcus Stoinis, Glenn Maxwell, and others.”
