This monumental triumph occurred in the 11th match of the tournament culminating in a thrilling fiverun win after a super over showdown.
Pakistan batted first after losing the toss. Babar Azam (44), Shadab Khan (40), and Shaheen Afridi (23*) all played well with the bat to enable Men in Green reach 159/7 in 20 overs. The hosts’ bowling wickets included Nosthush Kenjige (3/30) and Saurabh Netravalkar (2/18).
The United States scored 159/3 at the conclusion of the second innings, forcing a super over. Monank Patel (50), Andries Gous (35), and Aaron Jones (36*) gave it their all, but the score was finally matched.
