The Rajasthan Royals have had a number of highly-regarded players in their squad throughout the history of the Indian Premier League. Currently, stars like Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson and Shimron Hetmyer are on big-money contracts that demonstrate their value to the team.

Conversely, RR is a team that has always been open to giving younger players or lesser-known names the opportunity to shine in the league. These three RR players are substantially more valuable than their IPL 2023 deals indicate.

Kuldeep Sen

Kuldeep Sen had an impressive season with Rajasthan Royals in the IPL last year. His fast bowling earned him eight wickets in seven matches, and he had a low economy rate of 9.42.

As a result of his performance, he earned a spot in the Indian national team and was retained by RR for the 2022 IPL mega-auction for a relatively low fee of ₹20 lakh. He will no doubt be an important part of their plans for the upcoming 2023 IPL season despite his low price tag.

Jason Holder

At first glance, it appears that Jason Holder was bought at a reasonable price of ₹5.75 crore by the Royals at the IPL 2023 auction. His death bowling is not dependable, and his batting has been declining, and he had a lacklustre performance with the Lucknow Super Giants in the last IPL; however, he still managed to take some wickets.

The Royals should be grateful that they have been able to acquire Sanju Samson and his teammates, including Obed McCoy, for a reasonable price. This will give them the ability to use McCoy instead of Trent Boult, who has not been performing well and will strengthen the lower-middle order.

Yashasvi Jaiswal

Yashasvi Jaiswal had an impressive performance in the Indian Premier League last year. He amassed 258 runs in 10 games at an average of 25.80 and a strike rate of 132.99, with his highest score being 68.

The young cricketer has made an impact in domestic cricket and has been included in the India A team. Since he is an uncapped player, he was retained for only ₹4 crores in the lead-up to the 2022 auction. Jaiswal has the skills to become a top-notch player in all formats, and it would be no surprise if he produced some great runs in the 2023 IPL.
