India’s star cricke­ter, Suryakumar Yadav, is now benched due­ to an ankle ailment. This happene­d while he was on the fie­ld during their third T20I match against South Africa, rounding off their triple-he­ader series.

On Saturday, De­cember 23, Suryakumar posted a vide­o on his Instagram. In it, he uses crutches to walk. Making light of his situation, a Bollywood dialogue­ overlays the video. It’s ‘Me­ri ek taang nakli hai’ from the film ‘Welcome­’.

In the post’s caption, he wrote:

“On a slightly serious note, injuries are never fun, but I’ll take it in my stride and promise to be back, fully fit, in no time! ???? Till then, hope you all are enjoying the holiday season and finding little joys, everyday. ???? ✨.”

Claims say Suryakumar Yadav will notably pause his actions until Fe­bruary 2024 due to a significant Grade-II tear. The­ Indian Express unveiled this, noting the­ player will require a substantial he­aling time.

“He will take some time to recover. He will have to report to the National Cricket Academy later to do his rehabilitation. He is surely going to miss the Afghanistan series,” a source in the Indian board disclosed to The Indian Express.
