When asked in a conversation with Tim Southee, New Zealand’s legendary bowler, with whom he would like to swap lives for a day if given an opportunity, he mentioned the name of wicket-keeper batter MS Dhoni. Southee revealed he would like to live a day like Dhoni.
Debuting in 2008, Tim is known as one of the most brilliant pacers in the world with his feature in 100 tests, 161 ODIs, and 126 t20Is, taking 765 wickets in International Cricket.
Tim Southee Would Love to Swap Lives with MS Dhoni
The Conversation took place when Southee recently arrived at the CEAT cricket rating awards held in Mumbai. During this, he was asked the question to name a cricketer with whom he would like to swap lives for a day, “MS Dhoni- just wanted to see how life will be as MS Dhoni.” he replied.
MS Dhoni lifted five titles in IPL with the Chennai Super Kings recently besides leading India to three ICC Titles in his career. He won the 2007 T20 World Cup, the 2011 World Cup, and the 2013 Champions Trophy under his captaincy.
Dhoni is also famous for being one of the most loved cricketers on the planet. There are many examples of that. One of them happened during the IPL 2024. When MS came to bat, the noise in the stadium went all-time high with cricketers covering up their ears to escape from it.
What’s Next for MS Dhoni?
It’s still unclear if MS Dhoni will play in the 2025 IPL. If BCCI reinstates the uncapped player rule, Chennai Super Kings will most likely retain him. This might bring a chance for the fans to see MS wearing the legendary yellow jersey again in 2025.
