This comment followed Bumrahs pivotal contribution to the Men in Blues remarkable sixrun victory against archrivals Pakistan at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York on Sunday June 9.
Jasprit Bumrah has been India’s top performer through the first two games of the competition. He rebounded with 2/6 against Ireland before going 3/14 against the Men in Green. He removed Pakistani wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan, who threatened to end the game, shifting the tide in India’s advantage.
Celebrated for his remarkable feats Jasprit Bumrah has secured accolades worldwide with Manjrekar also acknowledging his excellence. Kohli faced a lighthearted dig from the excricketer now commentator as he lauded Bumrahs stellar onfield displays.
“While Indian media obsesses over Virat & Co, Jasprit Bumrah quietly wins games for India single-handedly. By far the best player in the Indian team & has been for a while now,” Manjrekar wrote on X.

He arrived in the United States following a successful IPL 2024 campaign, but has shockingly lost his Midas touch.
