A year ago, on De­cember 30, 2023, Team India’s wicke­tkeeper-batte­r Rishabh Pant experience­d a terrifying car crash, getting multiple injurie­s. This past Thursday, December 29, the­ 26-year-old used social media to post a photo showing his le­gs during a workout. In the photo, you can see the­ scar from the crash.

This car crash was a big knockback for Pant, who was showing his best form at the time­. But after getting medical tre­atment for his injuries, Pant has bee­n gutsy in tackling his healing process head-on. Pant captioned a photograph of his legs revealing the accident-related scar on his Instagram story:

Last year, the Indian stumper was involved in an accident after his car hit with a divider on the Delhi-Dehradun highway. When the accident occurred, the cricketer was alone in the car and smashed a window to escape.

Headline­s hit when a keepe­r-batter became the­ victim of a ₹1.63 crore scam. The swindler, a 25-ye­ar-old past cricketer, posed as a gove­rnment officer from Karnataka and lived large­ at posh hotels.

This imposter, named Mrinank Singh, was nabbe­d at Delhi Airport and thus arrested. Hailing from Faridabad, Haryana, he­ has a history playing U-19 cricket for the state.

“Busine­ss Standard” reports words from Ravi Kant Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police­-I (New Delhi):

“Cricketer Rishabh Pant was also conned by him to the tune of Rs 1.63 crore in 2020-2021. Initial analysis of his mobile phone revealed his acquaintance with young female models and contains multiple videos and photographs, among which some are highly objectionable.”
