Rishabh Pant showed distress after knowing that Delhi cricket’s The Sonnet Club has been handed an eviction notice. The club has produced several top-tier cricketers. Pant grew up playing cricket over there.

On Twitter, a Times of India journalist broke the news about the Club. According to the tweet, the group has been forced to leave Venkateswara College. Tarak Sinha, a Dronacharya awardee, coached 12 Indian cricketers at this club, including Rishabh.

Pant responded to the eviction notice by tweeting:

Tarak Sinha established the club in 1969.
Sonnet had its base in various locations, including Birla School, Ajmal Khan Park, DCM Ground, PGDAV College, Rajdhani College, and Piknic Hut, before settling in Sri Venkateswara College.

The club presently has no home since the new management of Sri Venkateshwara College has opted to relocate the club after 22 years.

Pant has asked the college’s governing council to rethink its decision.
