Ravichandran Ashwin recently spoke out about the devastation caused by Cyclone Michaung in Tamil Nadu. The renowned Indian cricketer said that there was a power outage in his neighborhood for more than 30 hours as the floods continued to disrupt regular daily life.

The cops state­ that 10 cases of drowning and electric shock came­ up. The SDRF and NDRF have bee­n stationed in the area to he­lp and save those in nee­d.

The Indian Meteorological Department verified, much to Chennai’s relief, that the cyclone had diminished into a deep depression over Andra Pradesh’s central coast.

Throughout the continuing natural calamity, Ashwin has been active on social media, urging people to keep safe home.

Ashwin posted photos of flooded automobiles in Chennai on X (previously known as Twitter) and wrote:

“No power in my locality for more than 30 hours too. Guess that’s the case in many places. Not sure what options we have.”

Ravichandran Ashwin has been named to India’s Test team for the upcoming two Tests against South Africa. The first Test will be played at Centurion on December 26.

Despite participating in the 2023 World Cup and playing a single game against Australia, the off-spinner did not make India’s selection for three ODIs.

Ahead to the IPL 2024 auction, the Rajasthan Royals (RR) have decided to hold onto their veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin. In total, 17 players were kept by the Jaipur-based team for the next campaign. With ₹14.5 crore, RR will be up for sale.
