He advises youngsters to ignore negative comments and focus on improving their game. However, Dhawan encourages reading positive feedback to boost their confidence. Players are bound to face criticism on social media if they underperform, but they shouldn’t let it affect their game. Dhawan hopes that young cricketers can use the platform to their advantage. Dhawan said:
“I don’t check social media because I know they will write badly if I don’t perform, whether it’s newspaper, Instagram, or Facebook. Why should I read them? The comments don’t matter. All I know is about my hard work, but when I do well, I check them. I enjoy the good things.”
As PBKS chase their maiden IPL silverware, their captain Shikhar Dhawan, the tournament’s second-highest run-scorer, will aim to continue his good form in IPL 2023. A successful campaign may boost his chances of making it to the Team India squad for the 2023 ODI World Cup. Dhawan will play his next match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on April 1.

Shikhar Dhawan has expressed the possibility of entering politics in the future with just a year left until the Lok Sabha elections. He said:
“I have not yet thought about entering politics, but if it’s written in my destiny, sure. Whatever I’ll do, I’ll do it wholeheartedly. Nature has its colors, and many things come from it.”
A few former Indian cricketers who have joined politics after their playing careers include Gautam Gambhir, Manoj Tiwary, Mohammad Azharuddin, and Mohammad Kaif.
