The Pakistan Super League started on Monday, 13th February, between the last year’s finalists Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars. The match proved thrilling as the Lahore Qalandars won against Multan Sultans by one run, and they started their campaign with a win. The game was delayed by 30 minutes due to a dangerous situation just before the match. One of the floodlights in the Multan Cricket Stadium caught fire and was on display during the opening ceremony of PSL. The fire brigade immediately arrived to douse the flames. Luckily no one was harmed by the minor mishap.

Everything went well until a spark was spotted at a lights tower, prompting the authority to call the fire brigade. They rushed to the spot and controlled the flames. The stadium was almost full-house as a vast crowd was there to enjoy the event. However, thankfully, no one was harmed due to the short-lived fire.
