The prominent Gujarati players who have made it big in cricket for India are as follows:
1. Vinoo Mankad
The first Gujarati to play for Team India, Vinoo Mankad played from 1946 to 1959. Mankad has played 30 tests in his career and, surprisingly, in all 11 positions.
2. Jasu Patel
Former Indian spinner Jasu Patel was actively playing cricket from 1943 to 1960. He was a Gujarati born in Ahmedabad of, British India. He is best remembered for taking all ten wickets against Australia in 1960.
3. Salim Durani
Former Indian bowler Salim Durani played for India from 1960 to 1973. He has also played Ranji from Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Saurashtra.
4. Karsan Ghavri
Karsan hails from Rajkot, Gujarat and is one of the first Gujarati players to represent India in ODI and Tests. He also played in the 1975 and 1979 cricket World Cups.
5. Parthiv Patel
The former batter and wicket-keeper Parthiv Patel belongs from Bhavnagar, Gujarat. He has played for team India in all formats from 2002 to 2018. He has also played in IPL for CSK, RCB, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians, and Deccan Chargers.
6. Irfan Pathan
The former Indian bowler and now sports commentator Irfan Pathan was part of the winning team of the 2007 T20 world cup. He actively played for Team India from 2003-2012.
7. Yusuf Pathan
The former Indian batter and elder brother of Irfan Pathan made recognition for himself as a dependable and hard hitter. He played in formats from 2007 to 2012 for Team India.
8. Hardik Pandya

Jadeja is an all-rounder cricketer who has been playing for Team India since 2009. He is known for being one of the best fielders in the world. In domestic cricket, he plays for Saurashtra, and in IPL, he plays for Chennai Super Kings.
11. Jasprit Bumrah
He is a right-arm fast bowler who plays for India in all 3 formats. Jasprit Bumrah has been playing for India since 2016 and is one of the best fast bowlers in the world.
12. Axar Patel
He is an Indian all-rounder who represents India in all three formats since 2014. Axar also plays domestic cricket for Gujarat and in IPL he plays for Delhi Capitals.
