MS Dhoni, captain of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), has begun practicing for the forthcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season in 2024, which is expected to be his last.

MS Dhoni has been photographed batting with the ‘Prime Sports’ sticker on his bat. It is worth noting that his boyhood buddy Paramjit Singh owns Prime Sports, a business in Ranchi.

“I am feeling very proud of him! He has always been there for us, and this is our friendship. MSD gifted me this bat.”

The MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) defeated the Gujarat Titans (GT) by five wickets in the IPL 2023 final (DLS method) to win their fifth title. Despite a troublesome knee, the wicketkeeper-batsman played in all of his franchise’s games.

Despite being dropped to No. 8 in the batting order on multiple occasions, MS Dhoni made a huge impression with brief cameos near the conclusion of the innings. Dhoni got 104 runs from 54 balls with a strike rate of 182.45 this season.

Former Australian wicketkeeper Adam Gilchrist recently responded to MS Dhoni using a bat with a sticker from a childhood friend’s business on it. Surprisingly, Paramjit Singh was the one who helped Dhoni secure his first bat sponsorship agreement.

Speaking on Dhoni’s gesture, Gilchrist remarked this while commentating on the second T20I of the present series between Australia and the West Indies:

“Saw him hitting some balls the other day in the nets with a new bat sticker on his bat, just a local sports store of one of his schoolmates. Must have said I’ll whack your company name on my bat to give your store a boost.”
