Justin Langer, ex-Australian Test starter and coach of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), spoke highly of team captain KL Rahul. He referred to him as both stylish and formidable. Langer recalled his time as Australia’s coach – he wouldn’t relax during India matches until Rahul and Virat Kohli were out.
Right now, Rahul is with the Indian Test squad in South Africa. He clinched a difficult century in the first round of the Centurion Test, a match India lost by 32 runs plus an innings. This 31-year-old has helmed LSG in the IPL starting from 2022.

In a video that was posted to the official X Twitter of the Lucknow Super Giants, Langer complimented Rahul and stated the following:
“When I was an Australian coach and we had a series against India, I never used to relax until Virat Kohli and KL Rahul got out. Because he is (Rahul) so dangerous player and he is such a beautiful elegant looking player.”

The former Australian batsman believes that Rahul is unique because of his potent counterswing against both speed and spin.
“He has experience. He can play to both sides of the ground. He plays spin and quick bowling well. I feel really grateful and I feel blessed to have a captain like KL Rahul. I am excited about that (teaming with KL Rahul).”

Rahul has played in 118 IPL games and amassed 4,163 runs at a 46.78 average, a strike rate of 134.42, four hundreds, and 33 fifties.
KL Rahul recently opened up overcoming injury woes
The right-handed hitter acknowledged that the road to rehabilitation was difficult, despite the fact that he has been in excellent form since returning to international cricket after suffering a thigh injury during IPL 2023.
Rahul stated that he was having physical and mental difficulties, particularly with the World Cup approaching.
“I couldn’t walk for the first three or four weeks [after having a surgery]. I was on the walker and, then slowly started building myself up during all that time. I don’t think it’s possible to make it in time for the World Cup – that’s what the surgeon told us as well. He said it will take five months from the time of surgery.”

KL Rahul, on the other hand, made a full recovery and went on to score 452 runs at an average of 75.33 in 11 matches, which was crucial to India’s World Cup campaign.
