Toughest Indian Bowler picked by Chris Gayle. Fans of any sport will be blown away by a conversation between two of the sport’s all-time greats. The likes of Suresh Raina, Chris Gayle, Robin Uthappa, Anil Kumble, Parthiv Patel, and Scott Styris were also present at a panel discussion on the development of the Indian Twenty20 League.

Similarly, the topic of who was the best bowler in the history of the Indian Twenty20 League was a central talking point. The seasoned players all came up with different answers, but Gayle ended the debate by revealing the name of the toughest bowler he had ever faced in the lucrative Indian Twenty20 league.

Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan, Yuzvendra Chahal, Amit Mishra, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar were suggestions made by Robin Uthappa and Parthiv. Gayle was asked by the panel’s host, Scott Styris, who he thought was the best Indian bowler in Indian T20 League history. He left out the players mentioned above.

In his choice of the top Indian bowlers in the Indian T20 League, the 41-year-old former Caribbean star didn’t include any well-known Indian off-spinners.

“Bumrah. I will not pick an off-spinner like Bhajji or Ashwin, but Bumrah. You can’t seem to get him. Difficult to play his slow ball; his variations are unique.” In response to Scott’s inquiry, Gayle declared, “I pick Bumrah.”

Gayle has a point, as he has only scored 37 runs in 10 matches against the Indian pacer and has faced at least 48 deliveries each time.

Bumrah has been sidelined from international cricket since last year when he suffered a back ailment just before the start of the Asia Cup 2022. The 20-20 World Cup 2022 and subsequent crucial bilateral assignments against Sri Lanka and Bangladesh also left him out.

By the start of the fourth and final Test against Australia, Bumrah had also been left off Team India’s roster.

Not to mention, the ‘Universe Boss’ Chris Gayle is widely considered to be among the top batters in IPL history. The 43-year-old Jamaican played for Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Punjab Kings throughout 13 seasons in the lucrative competition.
