In a stunning display of skill Saurabh Netravalkar the fiery pace bowler representing the United States of America (USA) caused a ripple effect in the Indian top order during the electrifying 2024 T20 World Cup encounter. Delivering with precision he swiftly dismantled the defenses of both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma within the powerplay at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in vibrant New York on Wednesday June 12.

The USA’s hopes were based on Saurabh Netravalkar and his ability to move the new ball after scoring 110-8 after being sent in to bat first. He extended his outstanding form by removing Virat Kohli for a golden duck, the first time the ace batsman has gone without scoring in T20 World Cup history.

Virat Kohli couldn’t resist aiming for a wide delivery outside the off stump, but he ended up nicking it to wicketkeeper Andries Gous.

The left-arm seamer made the Indian hitters uncomfortable by moving the ball both in the air and off the surface. He ended up allowing only a few runs in his first over.

His second over was equally powerful as his first. Saurabh Netravalkar took Rohit Sharma’s prized wicket practically immediately. The Indian captain attempted to flick one over midwicket, but the scrambling seam delivery stalled a little on the surface. The ball eventually made contact with the outer portion of the bat, bringing mid-off into play. Harmeet Singh made a difficult running catch to get the wicket.

Fans praised the pacer’s new ball display. Here are some reactions on Twitter:

“Saurabh Netravalkar will have to private or close comments of his Linkedin account,” one fan tweeted.

“How much more this netravalkar wants to achieve in life bro past mein jaake sachin ka bhi wicket lega kya,” one tweet read.

“Imagine the reception Netravalkar is going to get when he resumes work,” another fan tweeted.

The left-arm seamer was handed a third consecutive over. After troubling Suryakumar Yadav early on, the batsman answered with a stunning six. Just as India was hoping to recover from the early blows, Ali Khan removed Rishabh Pant, leaving the Men in Blue reeling at 39-3.

Team India required 72 runs from 72 deliveries at the time of writing, with Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dube at the crease.
