India’s top fast bowler, Jasprit Bumrah, gave­ an outstanding bowl in South Africa’s second play of the active Cape­ Town Test.

Jasprit Bumrah easily broke through the­ South African batting team, catching wickets again and again. The quick bowle­r claimed his ninth five-wicket victory in Te­sts, ending with six wickets as India wrapped up the­ Porteas with 176 on Day 2.

In the opening Test of the two-match series, the Men in Blue fell behind South Africa by an innings and thirty-two runs. In the second and final match, the team captained by Rohit Sharma recovered and made apologies.

The first-inning score of 55 by India against the Men in Blue was the lowest ever by any side in Test cricket history. The visitors were knocked out for 153 as they too had trouble getting going with the bat.

In the second innings, South Africa’s opener Aiden Markram dazzled at the bat, smashing a magnificent hundred off a challenging pitch. At 106 runs off 103 balls, the right-handed hitter was his team’s lone warrior.

The home team eventually gained a 78-run advantage before being all out. If India can successfully chase down the 79-run goal, they would tie the series 1-1.
