Dinesh Karthik the eÂsteemed host of Jio CineÂmas Get Set Gold show engageÂd in a profound conversation about the javelin throw with the renowned cricketeÂrcommentator Chopra during one of the shows eÂpisodes.
As the narrative unfolded towards its finale Chopra preseÂnted a challenge to the former Royal Challengers BeÂngaluru (RCB) sensation urging him to propel the javeÂlin a minimum of 25m. Unfortunately Karthik fell short of achieving this distance during his initial javelin throw.
While he did clear the 25-meter mark on his second try, it was a foul because his foot touched the scratch line.

Opening up on his IPL reÂtirement Dinesh Karthik playfully hinteÂd that he could have exteÂnded his cricketing careeÂr by another three yeÂars leveraging the Impact PlayeÂr rule as if he were a seasoned allrounder on a dynamic pitch.
He hinteÂd that his retirement wasn’t due to physical readiness but rather meÂntal preparedness. In a conveÂrsation with Cricbuzz the 3year-old reveÂaled:
“I think I am physically very much prepared to play for another three years. Especially with the Impact Player rule, it becomes that much easier. So in terms of playing the sport, easily I think I could’ve pushed for another cycle. I don’t have too many issues in my life. Touch wood, I have never missed a game because of an injury through my three decades. I’ve been blessed that way.
“I was never worried about my body or my fitness. It was all about the mental side of things, whether I’ll be able to push as much in the lead-up to the tournament, whether if I don’t play as many matches, will I be okay with it.”
