Fans cheer Axar Patel for his outstanding 74 runs innings in IND vs AUS 2nd Test.
Axar Patel has proved himself worthy of the title an all-rounder after making India’s comeback into the 2nd test match against Australia in Delhi on Saturday.
Axar went for the batting when the team were in a challenging situation of 132/7. However, with his incredible performance, an incredible 74(115) score, and a century stand by the side of another all-rounder, Ravichandran Ashwin secured that conceded just a 1-run lead after the end of their 1st innings.
When the opportunity came, Axar grabbed it and took the best out of it. Axar also proved himself in his defence, and so far, he has been the best batter in this series.
When the host and everyone felt that there was significantly less possibility of winning, Axar came with his incredible performance. Here’s what his fans wrote on Twitter.

After the incredible performance of Axar, there was a talk about whether Kuldeep Yadav will be accompanying Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin as India’s third spinner in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy or not. Many people have to say that Kuldeep will accompany them as he possesses a lot more variety than Axar.
However, considering Axar’s last two matches, he has proved he can help his team in a difficult situation and help them rise and win. Axar accompanied Jadeja in his first match and Ashwin in the second.
The veteran off-spinner also deserves a lot of credit for his performance and score of 37 and for the way he kept communicating with Axar throughout the game. India will be happy with Axar and Ashwin’s partnership, as this duo played incredibly in the last match.
