Shubman Gill has seen a tremendous rise in his status as a cricket player over the last few weeks because of his outstanding performances. In December, he scored his first Test century against Bangladesh and then his first ODI hundred in January.

Gill went on to make two more centuries in the 50-over format, including a double century against New Zealand. He showed he is a force to be reckoned with in all formats of the game when he scored a magnificent century in a T20 match against the Kiwis.

Gill’s ability to use a bat is well-known, but the 23-year-old has also demonstrated other impressive abilities that have impressed his supporters. Here, we explore three other career paths that the Punjab batsman could have chosen if he had not gone into cricket.

Occasionally, clips of Shubman Gill displaying his dancing skills can be seen circulating on the web. Along with teammates Ishan Kishan and Shikhar Dhawan, he has been seen flaunting his moves in various reels, which have been met with a lot of admiration and enthusiasm from his admirers.

A few years ago, a video of him dancing with his U19 teammate Riyan Parag became popular. It’s reasonable to assume that had he not been a cricketer, Gill could have pursued dancing and achieved some level of success.

His appeal and affable personality have certainly persuaded companies to involve him in their projects. If it weren’t for his career in cricket, Gill would have been able to pursue a career in modelling.

It may come as a shock, but when Shubman Gill was a kid, he had a keen inclination towards farming. Lakhwinder Singh, his father, gave up farming so that he could move to Mohali to support his son’s cricket career.

His father has claimed that Gill still has strong feelings for his hometown and farm. He was among the few cricketers to back the farmers’ movement against the new agricultural laws. It’s fair to say that his keen interest, along with his father’s guidance, has certainly helped him to be successful.
