Aakash Chopra believes it’s not mandatory for Virat Kohli to share why he’s resting during the current India-England Test series.
Kohli missed out on the first two matches in the five-match series, owing to personal commitments. A handful of reports hint that the past Indian captain may also stay absent from the upcoming pair of Tests in Rajkot and Ranchi. His participation in the concluding game in Dharamsala seems doubtful too.
In a video posted to his YouTube account, Aakash Chopra reflected on the reports and stated that Kohli deserved the right to privacy.
India has succeeded in equalizing the series with their victory in the second Test at Visakhapatnam, yet their batting could use some improvement. To bolster their batting, Rohit Sharma and the team management eagerly anticipate Kohli’s prompt return to lend his substantial strength to the middle order.
Aakash Chopra optimistic about Jadeja and Rahul’s recovery for Rajkot Test
Aakash Chopra named the possible return of Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul for the third Test a good sign.
We hope for Mohammed Siraj to be back for the Rajkot Test. The the cricketer-turned-commentator comments on it, hopes that Jasprit Bumrah won’t get a rest.
Siraj was rested in the second Test against England. Mukesh Kumar, who replaced him in the XI, did not appear particularly dangerous, and the hosts may want both Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj in the normally batting-friendly conditions in Rajkot.
