Jos Buttler and Yuzvendra Chahal, who are part of the Rajasthan Royals (RR) team in the Indian Premier League (IPL), share a strong bond off the field. Their friendship blossomed when RR purchased Chahal for Rs 6.5 crore last year, and since then, they have frequently shared amusing videos of themselves playfully teasing each other.
One such video, posted by RR, shows Chahal pretending to propose to Buttler, with Buttler laughing uncontrollably while holding his daughter.
Chahal and Buttler have been performing remarkably in the ongoing IPL 2023 on the professional front. Chahal, the leg-spinner, has taken 11 wickets in six matches, which includes a brilliant four-wicket haul. On the other hand, Buttler, who is an opener, has scored 244 runs with a strike rate of 146.99, which includes three half-centuries against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Delhi Capitals, and Chennai Super Kings.
However, in their last game against the Lucknow Super Giants, both players failed to contribute as much as expected, which led to their team’s loss by 10 runs. Chahal went wicketless, and Buttler scored 40 runs off 41 balls.

During the IPL 2022 season, Yuzvendra Chahal and Jos Buttler played a crucial role in helping RR reach the finals. Both players displayed exceptional performances throughout the tournament.
Buttler won the prestigious Orange cap for scoring a massive 863 runs in 17 games, which included four centuries and four half-centuries. Meanwhile, Chahal claimed the Purple cap by taking 27 wickets at an economy rate of 7.75.
Now, they will be hoping to lead RR to the IPL trophy and end their team’s long-standing drought, since their only win came in the inaugural season of the tournament.
Sanju Samson’s Rajasthan Royals are currently at the top of the IPL 2023 points table, having won four out of their six games so far. They are ahead of LSG due to a better net run rate (NRR).
The Royals will be keen to continue their winning streak when they face off against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday, April 23rd.
