Yuvraj Singh, a former all-rounder for India, made a lighthearted jab at Virat Kohli’s football abilities. He said that Kohli believes “he is Cristiano Ronaldo, but he is not” in response to a question concerning the same.

Even though Virat Kohli is considered by many as one of the best hitters of the contemporary age, he still loves playing football. Yuvraj enjoys football as well, and the two are frequently seen having friendly matches.

Yuvraj Singh recently offered his open opinions on Kohli’s football talent on the TRS podcast, albeit in a tongue-in-cheek fashion.

“Meri aur Virat ki bahut badi ladai hui hai football mein, meri [Ashish] Nehra ke saath bahut badi ladai hui hai football mein, Viru [Sehwag] ke saath, toh vo ho jaata hai. [Me and Virat have fought during football. I have also had fights with Nehra and Sehwag].”

“Usko (Virat Kohli) lagta hai vo bahut faadu footballer hai. Hai skilll, par mere andar usse jyada hai. Vo faadu batsman hai, footballer mai better hoon. He thinks he is Cristiano Ronaldo, but he is not. In his cricket, he is Cristiano Ronaldo. [Kohli thinks he is a very good footballer. He has skills, but I am better than him in football.].”

When asked about his present relationship with the batting superstar, the former cricketer revealed honestly that the two don’t connect much because Kohli is a busy guy.

“I don’t disturb him because he is busy. We knew the young Virat Kohli as Cheeku. Today’s Cheeku is Virat Kohli, so there is a big difference.”
