Yashasvi Jaiswal felt thrilled scoring his second IPL ton as Rajasthan Royals thumped Mumbai Indians by 9 wickets at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur, Monday (April 22). Reaching his century with a single, the left-hander now has two IPL hundreds, both against MI.
Yashasvi Jaiswal finished undefeated on 104 runs from 60 balls, including seven sixes and nine boundaries. He also had 74 and 109* run partnerships with Jos Buttler and skipper Sanju Samson for the first two wickets, respectively.
The feat occurred in the 19th over of RR’s run chase. Tilak Varma delivered a short delivery outside off, which Jaiswal sliced to the sweeper cover before charging down the other end with the bat in one hand and the helmet in the other. The kid was overjoyed as he soaked in the ovation from spectators and teammates who stood to celebrate the ton.

With the knock, Yashasvi Jaiswal returned to form after scoring only 121 runs in his previous seven innings. The 22-year-old will now want to maintain his excellent form as the Royals seek their second IPL title.

Yashasvi Jaiswal felt thankful to RR’s team leaders Sanju Samson and Kumar Sangakkara. He appreciated their support despite his poor performances in the initial seven matches. In the post-game interview, Yashasvi’s statement was:
MI batted first and scored 179/9 in 20 overs. Tilak Varma and Nehal Wadhera played the bat.
Varma scored 65 runs on 45 deliveries, including three sixes and five boundaries. Wadhera scored 49 from 24 balls, including four sixes and three boundaries. The two put up a 99-run stand for the fifth wicket to help MI recover from 52/4.
Sandeep Sharma was RR’s top bowler, with career-high figures of 5/18, while Trent Boult took two wickets.
In response, RR reached the objective with eight balls to spare. Samson and Buttler contributed 38*(28) and 35(25), respectively. Piyush Chawla took one wicket for MI.
