Yashasvi Jaiswal of the Rajasthan Royals had his first training session ahead of the World Test Championship final against Australia at the Oval on June 7.
Jaiswal was selected as a replacement for Ruturaj Gaikwad, who is getting married on June 3.
The 21 year old was spotted practicing his batting and spoke with Ravichandran Ashwin. Former Indian captain Virat Kohli was also spotted giving him batting advice.

While Jaiswal has yet to make his India debut, he has been a model of consistency in first class cricket, averaging 80.21 in 15 games. The teenager had an outstanding Ranji Trophy 2022-23 season, hitting 315 runs at an average of 45 in five matches, including a century and a half century. He then went on to score 213 and 144 in the Irani Cup against Madhya Pradesh, guiding the Rest of India to a resounding 238 run triumph.
Skipper Rohit Sharma and the in-form Shubman Gill are expected to open the batting for Team India in the ICC final.

Former South African legend AB de Villiers named Rajasthan Royals opener Yashasvi Jaiswal the best performer in the just finished IPL season.
Yashasvi Jaiswal was on fire for the Rajasthan Royals during the 2023 IPL season, amassing 625 runs in 14 games at an average of 48.07 and a strike rate of 163.61.
Jaiswal finished fifth in the Orange cap standings and was named the season’s Emerging Player.
Earlier in the season, he got his first IPL century against the Mumbai Indians. He set the record for the fastest 50 in league history off only 13 balls against the Kolkata Knight Riders.
Following his spectacular exploits in the IPL 2023, some analysts and fans have proclaimed Yashasvi Jaiswal as the future superstar of Indian cricket.
