Suryakumar Yadav struggled with the bat in India’s opening two World Cup games, against Ireland and Pakistan. He recovered to form in the match against the USA, scoring an unbroken 50 (49) on a two-paced surface. Surya revitalized the innings when his team fell to 39/3 in the pursuit of 111, forming a 72-run partnership with Shivam Dube (31*) to see them home without any difficulties.
