Recently, Suryakumar Yadav, an impressive player for Team India, took a break. He and his wife, Devisha Shetty, had a lovely holiday. This break comes after his bustling T20I 3-match series with South Africa. Under Yadav’s leadership, the series concluded with a balanced 1-1 score.
Unfortunately, Surya got an ankle sprain in the 3rd T20I’s second innings. Since then, he’s been unable to play. This injury made him sit out from the current Afghanistan series. The dynamic 33-year-old is likely to return in the IPL 2024 season.

On Tuesday, January 16, Surya posted a video to his story on his official Instagram account, allowing followers to have a peek of his holiday in Munich, Germany. In the brief film, he and his spouse Devisha were seen taking advantage of the cold weather.

AB de Villiers lauds Suryakumar Yadav for his brilliant T20 performances

Ex-captain of South Africa, AB de Villiers, recently shared his surprise over Suryakumar Yadav’s quick rise in T20 cricket. In a chat with Star Sports, the acclaimed wicketkeeper-batter shared his first impression of Suryakumar Yadav.
“The first few years of me seeing him (SKY) play in the IPL, he was very circumspect, always consolidated in trying to build an innings. Now he is also doing that but it is almost like the platform is there for him to look for the opportunity to sort of take control of the game. That’s where a batter becomes dangerous. The minute he sees an opportunity, he takes it.”

AB De Villiers counseled Surya to never overcommit, to always respect the circumstances of the game, to wait for the ideal moment to attack, and to never exert too much pressure:
“I am very impressed and surprised. I didn’t see anything when I was playing in the IPL with him. I hope he never falls into the trap of trying to push it too hard. As a player, I always respected the situation. Always wait for your opportunity, be patient and you will get it. I believe he has the potential to take it to the next level.”

His strike rate is impressive, more than 171, demonstrating his excellent on-field performance. Yadav has scored four hundreds and 17 half-centuries. The experienced player is set to be a prominent figure for India in the 2024 ICC T20 World Cup in June.
