On Wednesday (June 12), Steven Taylor slammed a six that hit a New York security guard at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium during India’s 2024 T20 World Cup match against co-hosts USA. The guard did not maintain his eyes on the ball and was smacked in the chest. The forceful blow appeared to have injured him.
The injuries may have been serious, but many residents are unaware since they are unfamiliar with cricket. Interestingly, the guard did not cover himself because the shots in cricket and baseball are comparable.
The event occurred during the ninth over of the USA innings. Shivam Dube delivered a short delivery, which Steven Taylor pulled over midwicket for a 77-metre six.
