India’s skipper Rohit Sharma did a photoshoot for his IPL squad, Mumbai Indians (MI), just before the upcoming tournament. This marked his first public appearance with the franchise post him not being named captain.
In a surprise change of events, MI management replaced Rohit with Hardik Pandya as captain in December. Pandya was recruited back to the team a month ago in an all-money deal from Gujarat Titans (GT).
MI released a video on Wednesday, March 13, to give their devoted supporters a look of some of its key players in the new jerseys ahead of the IPL 2024. Rohit was extensively featured in it, with Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, and Ishan Kishan, among others. Mumbai’s franchise captioned the post:
