Mohammed Siraj wreÂaked havoc for Royal Challengers BeÂngaluru (RCB) in the IPL 2024 Eliminator showdown against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Ahmedabad on WedneÂsday (May 22). The speedsteÂr showcased his prowess by scalping the valuable wickets of Riyan Parag and Shimron Hetmyer in a single over swinging the momentum in RCB favor.
The dismissals occurred in the 18th over of the RR run chase. Siraj produced a pitched-up delivery that went past Parag’s pad and pad gap before crashing into the stumps. The right-hander attempted a huge shot over the line but missed it completely. Siraj was overjoyed and came up with a Cristiano Ronaldo-style celebration.

The Royals impreÂssively achieved the 173run target with one over spareÂ. Yashasvi Jaiswal showcased a stellar performance accumulating 45 runs off 30 balls embellished with eÂight boundaries. Noteworthy contributions came from Riyan Parag (36 off 26) Shimron HeÂtmyer (26 off 14) and Tom KohlerCadmore (20 off 15). Rovman PoweÂlls stylish six (16* off 8) added a dash of flair to conclude the match victoriously.
Apart from Siraj, Lockie Ferguson, Karn Sharma, and Cameron Green each took one wicket for RCB.
Asked to bat first, RCB scored 172/8 in 20 overs. Rajat Patidar, Virat Kohli, and Mahipal Lomror scored 34 (22), 33 (24), and 32 (17), respectively. Meanwhile, Cameron Green contributed 27 off 21 balls.

Sanju Samson’s RR will next face SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Qualifier 2 on Friday (May 24) for a spot in the IPL 2024 final versus KKR.
